The Greater Boston market has remained hot through the first half of the year with rising prices in terms of closing prices as well as price per square foot for single family homes and condominiums. We are beginning to see some price adjustments and a slight ease in demand heading into summer as sales have fallen during most months of this year.
Steady job growth and the large millennial population now in their peak purchasing years suggest that home buying will remain strong but sales are likely to fall off from recent historic highs as we see more modest appreciation.
