Nature-lovers will delight in the fact that Wayland is dedicated to the preservation of the forests, marshes and fields that surround the Sudbury River.  The Wayland Conservation Commission has 19 major Conservation Areas with trails for hiking, biking and recreation. These trails, which include Pod Meadow and Pine Brook and are near and dear to nature lovers and are a great place to spot owls, Rusty Blackbirds and American Beaver. 

Wayland is home to many highly rated public schools and Wayland High School is consistently ranked as one of the best schools in the Boston area. The town is also home to Regis College, which is nationally recognized for its excellence in nursing and health sciences education.
