Senné Spotlight: David Grosvenor

Senné Spotlight:

David Grosvenor, Director of NYC Property Management

Where are you from? and Where do you live?

I was born in Newport, Rhode Island. Currently, I live in Jersey City, New Jersey, which is just outside of New York City, where Senné has a branch office.

What are your day-to-day responsibilities? What does your typical day look like?

I’m responsible for overseeing the operations of the condominium associations, CO-OPs, and commercial spaces managed by Senné in the Greater New York City area. In property management, every day is different because we manage any issue that may come up at a property. From ensuring the trash goes out on time to handling the finances and budgets for a property, I am involved with it all to make sure everything is functioning smoothly for residents.

How long have you worked at Senné?

I have worked at Senné for over 3 years.

What were you doing before this? Where did you go to school?

Previous to Senné, I was the Director of Property Management for a real estate portfolio in Providence, Rhode Island. Before that, I worked as a project manager for a commercial general contractor in New York City and a property manager for 10 high-end residential associations in Manhattan in Brooklyn. Working in property management in different cities and in different segments of the real estate industry has given me a wide range of experiences that I pull from every day.

What’s your favorite part about your job? What’s your favorite part of Senné?

My favorite part of my job is seeing a project through from start to finish. It’s really satisfying to see how we make improvements to properties over the years. We’re always focused on creating a better living experience for our clients.

I also love the camaraderie there is among the Senné family. Being able to freely run ideas for strategies by my coworkers enables me to do my job at the highest level. My coworkers and I are always looking for new, better ways of doing things to stay on the cutting edge of the industry.

What would your clients (or coworkers) say is your best quality?

The people I work with would say that I have a high attention to detail. I also pride myself on being able to manage client expectations appropriately to adequately communicate what we’ll be able to accomplish for their property, from the minute, day-to-day operations to the larger capital improvement projects.

How do you like to spend your time outside the office?

Whenever I’m not in the office, I’m spending quality time with my family. My wife and I just had our first baby last October!

What’s a fun fact about you that your coworkers may not know?

I’m proud to say I still hold the record for most points ever scored on my JV lacrosse team at my high school
