Senné Spotlight: Sean Persson

Senné Spotlight:

Sean Persson, Director, Residential Sales & Leasing

Where are you from? and Where do you live?

I grew up in the town of Bourne on the Cape, and I currently live in Stoneham.

What are your day-to-day responsibilities? What does your typical day look like?

Every day at work is different because every real estate deal is unique. As the Director of Residential Sales & Leasing, I have a hand in every deal that comes through Senné, assisting our Associates in any way I can.  I recruit, train, develop, and provide transactional support for every single one of our Residential Associates. I’m also responsible for maintaining standards for quality and compliance. My typical day involves holding virtual training sessions and discussions with the Residential team, reaching out to potential recruits, collaborating with the Marketing team on campaigns, reviewing deal folder submissions, and providing other direct support to Associates.

How long have you worked at Senné?

I began working at Senné in March 2015, so almost exactly six years.

What were you doing before this?

I’ve been working in Greater Boston real estate for eleven years.  I got my real estate license in 2010, and began my career at a brokerage in Allston that focused primarily on apartment rentals. I was promoted to a manager position at the office’s Newbury Street location and began recruiting and managing my own team of agents. I later accepted a similar position with a Cambridge brokerage in 2014 before meeting William Senné and joining his team a year later.

What’s your favorite part about your job? What’s your favorite part of Senné?

My favorite part of my job is seeing the Associates that I’ve trained successfully closing deals and building real estate careers for themselves. My own feelings of success come from witnessing the continued professional development and growth of my team. I also love the excitement that comes with working alongside and collaborating with a diverse group of industry professionals. My coworkers include residential and commercial real estate professionals, finance professionals, property managers, marketers, construction professionals, architects, designers, and planners.

What would your clients (or coworkers) say is your best quality?

My coworkers would say my best quality is my commitment to providing the highest level of support to our Associates. I make myself available to my team 24/7 and I’m never too busy to take a phone call, do a quick screen share, or meet in person to talk them through any opportunities or issues that arise. I may not always have all the answers, but I will always find a solution.

How do you like to spend your time outside the office?

I spend just about all of my time outside of the office with my “Persson pod.”  My partner Celeste, our two daughters Cordelia and Leighton, and I go on hikes in the Fells, make trips to the playground, cook meals together, go camping, and binge watch just about anything on Disney +. Celeste and I had always played in a social sports bocce league in Cambridge before the pandemic and we hope to get back to soon. Our happy place is the Wellfleet Beachcomber.

What’s a fun fact about you that your coworkers may not know?

The birth of our daughter last year did not go according to plan. My partner Celeste was having mild contractions just after 6 a.m. as I slept, so she decided to shower before waking me to go to the hospital. Things escalated quickly and I ended up delivering my daughter at home. This was the most incredible and terrifying experience I have ever had.
