Senné Spotlight: Payton Johnson, Property Accountant

Where are you from? and Where do you live?

I am originally from a small town in central Maine and now I reside in Charlestown!

What are your day-to-day responsibilities? What does your typical day look like?

My day-to-day responsibilities mainly include handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and managing any questions or concerns that our vendors may have.

How long have you worked at Senné?

I’ve been working at Senné since March of 2020.

What were you doing before this?

I used to work as an Accounts Payable Specialist at my local YMCA in Maine. Before that, I worked as a before and after school teacher for kids Kindergarten through fifth grade.

Where did you go to school?

I received my Bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University in the fall of 2019. I’m currently in my Master’s program at the same school pursuing a degree in Forensic Accounting.

What’s your favorite part about your job? What’s your favorite part of Senné?

My favorite part of my job would have to be the people I work with. My team is fantastic and can always be relied on. My favorite part of Senné would have to be the close-knit company culture we have. I started here right as COVID-19 was starting so I have never worked in the office full-time, but I’m really excited to experience the office culture in-person here soon.

What would your clients (or coworkers) say is your best quality?

My coworkers would probably say that my best quality would be that I’m reliable and efficient. Things can get pretty hectic but we always make do!

How do you like to spend your time outside the office?

I love being outdoors! I’m an avid Sox fan. This is actually the main reason I moved to Boston so anytime I can be at Fenway Park is a good time for me. I also like to hike, walk around the city, and basically anything that includes a good beer and some good food. I also have a 5-year-old niece who lives back home in Maine, so I try to get up there as much as I can to hang out with her!

What’s a fun fact about you that your coworkers may not know?

A fun fact about me is that I just recently took up rollerblading! I’m not very good and am still learning how to even stand but so far it has been a lot of fun!
